Park Closing Due To Crowd Capacity
The decision to close the gates of Ribfest due to crowd density is the decision of the City of St. Petersburg Police Department, City of St. Petersburg Fire Department in agreement with Ribfest leadership. The decision to close for public safety is based on the ability of our customers to get out of the park in case of emergency. Crowd density is determined by examination of the flow of people within the park. If all walkways remain open and clear and people can move around, the City will keep our gates open.
Park Closing Due To Inclement Weather
Ribfest works with local Weather stations to monitor the weather approaching. Ribfest will temporarily close during any period where our customer’s may be in danger. All customers will be asked to exit the park at that time. When the Ribfest leadership along with the appropriate parties within the City of St. Petersburg decides it is safe to return, the park will re-open.
